Our client/partner approach is crucial to our success

01

Partnership works

Our creative workflow begins as soon as we are commissioned. The very first thing we do is undertake a thorough review of every project. Our team of designers are ready to hash out every detail with you. Our objective is to produce the most accurate visualisation possible to keep within agreed time-frames and budget(s), in partnership with you.

02

Attention to detail

Our no-nonsense work ethic, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, are the crucial elements to a successful outcome.

03

Added value

Our full range of specialist knowledge is available to each of our client/partners, helping us surpass expectations. Our successful projects continue to foster the strong growth of our reputation.

"Visualisation transforms from the invisible to the visible"
There are many definitions of a visualisation’s purpose, we like this one by Robert Kosara a Senior Research Scientist at Tableau Software. He said "What good is a data visualisation if it doesn’t tell a story?"

He suggests that the source data must come from something that is abstract or at least not immediately visible (a planning proposal is a good example) which rules out photography and image processing. Visualisation encompasses everything from basic sketches to more sophisticated 3d renderings, video clips and interactive virtual tours.

02Personal projects

Holiday seasons offer us opportunities to step back from day-to-day business and take a fresh look at expectations. Personally, I like to take this time to hone my skills, as I rarely have the opportunity to experiment with a number of the less well known functions of my preferred 3D modelling programme “Blender. This powerful 3D modelling software is constantly being updated so a review of my workflow during these brief interludes is particularly valuable. I make the best use of this time to push my boundaries and reassess the quality of my work.

In this project I elected to move away from my comfort zone, challenge some established “norms”, stretch my creativity...

03Event visualisation

We relish the challenge of a project, which requires the application of multiple disciplines in concert, to complete successfully.

EV projects require us to work in our familiar 3D environment, with a range of scale and therefore detail, from large display fascias through to individual products. Our flexible approach ensures we capture all the details important to our client/partners.

We are an eclectic team who's skills and experiences are usually focused on producing 3D models with pin-point accuracy. So when we were asked to tear up our virtual rule book and to illustrate a serious subject with a humorous edge, by hand, and as a series of cartoons, we were very excited indeed.

For the pure fun of the project we produced this 3D composition for the publishers.

05Information design

What is information design?
This is a way of describing how information can be presented to foster efficient and effective understanding of 'information'. It is closely related to the field of data visualisation.

The term is often used by graphic designers when their design is intended to display information in an engaging manner to inform quickly and efficiently, rather than to merely satisfy artistic expression.

Our information designers have more than 20 years experience of untangling complex and sometimes sensitive material. Comprehending information that does not naturally 'speak' to its intended audience is a skill we are rightly proud of.

06Product visualisation

We pride ourselves on being a versatile visual team; the opportunity that 3D modelling provides us with, to explore concepts and forms, ignites our passion to expand our horizons and succeed for our client/partners.

Our services are not exclusive to visualising for architecture, we are extremely flexible in our approach to our work. You will see from the eclectic range and scope of projects depicted that we are committed to sharing that versatility with our client/partners on every single project, regardless of its scope, theme or scale.

“Working with Graham Wilkins Design has been a pleasure throughout. Additional to great attention to detail, they were often able to give other perspectives on our projects that we had not yet considered. The no-holds-barred approach to getting it right was refreshing and we look forward to working together in the future.”
